The Indian wind power sector experienced record annual growth in 2011 with the addition of more than 3 GW of new installations. Diverse incentives supported by a long-term policy and regulatory framework at the central and state levels have played a crucial role in achieving this goal. Wind power is now increasingly accepted as a major complementary energy source for securing a sustainable and clean energy future for India.

  • PPS ventured into Wind Power Generation in FY06 with the setting up of a 0.5 MW capacity WEG
  • The Company has since expanded significantly & currently operates high- quality wind farms with an installed capacity of over 29 MW across 4 locations in Tamil Nadu
  • PPS wind farms generate power at 2%-3% higher PLF than comparable facilities with similar vintage
  • The Company’s credibility has helped it forge win-win off-take relationships with reputed industrial consumers under the GCC scheme

Company's Involvement

PPS Enviro is on its way to becoming one of the leading Wind Power Generators in India and have commenced the plan by setting up Wind Parks in various high efficient wind zones. The Company is setting up in its Phase 1 Plan around 100 MW capacity through various Wind Parks. While the first 5.7 MW Wind Park is already operational another 48 MW is under various stages of implementation.
